Believe it or not, framing started this week.

We didn’t even know it had started until we drove up to the site while we were out and about today, hoping beyond hope that at least lumber had been delivered. I didn’t even bring the good camera because we weren’t expecting to see anything; I had to take pictures with my iPhone. We were not expecting the work to have started already, because nobody had emailed me (there’s those communication issues again), but we’re very happy that it’s underway. The load-bearing walls in the basement, the first floor joists and the basement stair walls (picture above) have been done. We expect to see lots more progress in the coming week!
