This post is about the first home we attempted to build with Hansen and Horn. We've since terminated our contract with them, and are building a new house with Bedrock Builders. This post is kept for archival purposes. Read what happened ›

Framing nearly complete

Got a report from our construction supervisor today that framing was nearly complete, and when we stopped by today this is what we saw! Starting to actually look like a house now. There’s even some trim pieces going on the outside.

It’s exciting to finally be able to actually walk through it all, after only seeing it on paper for so long. We did notice an inconsistency with our latest plans (the upstairs linen closet wasn’t oriented correctly), so we’ll be notifying Hansen and Horn about that tonight, but other than that everything looks good.

One thing’s for sure: the master suite is indeed enormous.

The pile of lumber now looks like a home. I can’t wait to walk through it to see it first hand.
